Lead Occupational Therapist - Alcohol and Drugs Service

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced occupational therapist to provide operational management and professional leadership and governance to the occupational therapy team across Glasgow Alcohol and Drugs Service. This includes community addiction teams, in-patients and wider recovery services. You will be managed within the service with professional leadership and supervision from a Care Group Lead Occupational Therapist. Services across the area are well established. You will be expected to ensure emphasis on recovery and successful community living. Commitment to effective multi-disciplinary/ agency working is key to the success of the role. You will be responsible for the governance of the service ensuring that staff are competent to deliver high standards based on evidence and best practice. You will have relevant and breadth of experience, be an expert clinician and will have effective leadership, organisational and people management skills. You should have a degree/diploma in occupational therapy and will have substantial post graduate experience. You should be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and meet the necessary continuing professional development requirements in order to remain on the register. You should adhere to the Royal College of Occupational Therapists Code of Ethics and have responsibility for monitoring the compliance by occupational therapy staff with national and local standards of practice. The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland\'s PVG Scheme.
